Renegade Hockey Reflection

Today I would give myself  a  4/5 for effort and participation  in this training because first I thought to myself that it was going to be the same thing but the lesson was mixed with a new drill that I thought was fun and pretty simple that would help on the court.

A factor that influenced my participation was the class itself. In my eyes I can tell that we have a good class and it gets me in the mood to actually participate. Just having a good attitude makes me want to actually participate.

Somethings I am doing to contribute to my team was showing my leadership skills and taking action. I saw us playing randomly and it didn’t go well, so I got the team together and strategized. Using teammates with their individual skills, I wouldn’t say that I’m a good leader but I did help and gave us a point or two.

Something I really enjoyed was seeing the team work and do their part well. With Jayden playing defense and giving it a go to Ngapua playing more offensively with me. I enjoyed watching the team's participation.

Maning The Environment Blog

 https://watch.screencastify.com/v/T0N1hJ57ZZhYzdGsNfQE

Resources

-My understanding of the environment is for example a water dam is defined as a barrier or structure across a stream, river or waterway to confine and then control the flow of water. “adaptive management” to maximise the benefits of a dam, while paying attention to and minimising environmental impacts over time. This can be done, for example, by using turbines that are more efficient or fish friendly, or by lowering the height of dams.

Environment

-My understanding of the environment provides us and the wildlife with a home. Like squirrels in trees and bears in caves. To use environment in a sentence it’ll be“the environment has changed because of global warming”.

Sustainability

-My understanding of sustainability is meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. In addition to natural resources, we also need social resources.

Papatuanuku

We are stroking, caressing the spine of the land

We are massaging the ricked back of the land

With our sore but every-love feet: Hell, she loves it!

Squirming, the land wriggles in delight

We love her

Scoliosis

 https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1Xuxe49Re4u812PNlk-IfssswIcJbGcHfvGDHqkGXkxk/edit#slide=id.g27646084b1_0_30

Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine that most often is diagnosed in adolescents. While scoliosis can occur in people with conditions such as muscular dystrophy, the cause of most childhood scoliosis is unknown. Most cases of scoliosis are mild, but some curves worsen as children grow.

the primary age of onset for scoliosis is 10-15 years old, occurring equally among both genders. This can also be past down through your family. I’ve researched and found online that “Strong evidence suggests that scoliosis runs in families. Nearly a third of patients with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis have a family history of the condition, and first-degree relatives of scoliosis patients have an 11 percent chance of developing it themselves”

The person I’ve made my leadership speech about Vladimir Lenin himself was my choice, mostly because my mum really dove into history when she attended Bay of Islands College.

His leadership was more about thinking smart, mission focused but he wasn’t so good at being positive to his culture from leading his men into war and starvation.

This topic really challenged my thinking because for me, history is really hard and I didn’t have too much information about him compared to someone like my mum.

I really enjoyed creating this speech because I learnt alot this from where we started.

Leadership within our school.

I’m reflecting on how this school has something like an animal food chain and us as students are at the bottom and technically the government is on the top.

Basically just about leadership within our school. Falling under ranks like deputy head girl/boy and something like teacher.

I’ve learnt all different types of names for each rank or role (that’s what I’m going to call it). Finding out what each role does and benefits the school.

This topic relates to leadership and that’s what we’re been learning about this past unit and mostly about government which goes with leadership.

I’ve learnt how important the different roles in our school are.

Overall I learnt a lot from each role and I’ve found this to be very interesting and this should be shown to others so the teachers give more respect for what they do. :)
