Equality and Equity

Okay why do you think I’ve chosen this image? (asks someone in the crowd) for my presentation I will be explaining why this shows me what quality is but first I’ll be telling some background on this subject. For many years and the years to come gender equality has been a huge thing in our community, am I right? it has gotten better over the years but still here. This photo shows us from no matter where you are, who you are, where you came from, if you’re a man, woman, monkey, attack helicopter it makes no difference in anything, for example if you were a woman you should have the same rights as what men do, but it’s like that at all.

This can be related to women having fewer opportunities for health education, unequal power in sexual partnership, or as a result of gender-based violence. Maternal health is also an issue of specific concern.

I’ll ask everyone a question. Who has heard/watched tik tok before? And have all of use seen the drama that goes on there? Especially gender equality, okay so now imagine how much more better it would be if men and women treated one another the same.

GOOD BYE

About Me.

Kia ora, my name is Varren.

I’m a formal student of primary and this is my first year of college, the college I choose and settled in with is Bay of islands college (boic).

I enjoy sports like rugby, volleyball, kia o rahi and table tennis.

I have 2 older brothers a younger sister and I live with my mum, I know I’m the favourite out of my sister and I because I never really argue with my mum plus she doesn’t get annoyed at me unlike my sister.

I’m studying maths, English, social studies, science and p.e also our options that changes every 4 weeks. I’m good at different types of sports my favourite sport is volleyball and kia o rahi.

I’m looking forward to the sports this year because at the moment I’m volleyball and kia o rahi. At kia o rahi I’m alright but my throwing can do some work, but at volleyball I’m pretty decent but I’m not totally good at it, I’m still working on my receiving and I wanna learn how to spike because I can’t at the moment.

My personal achievements are me trying to graduate arataki like getting through it. My other goal is getting past this year because past this year was my first year in bay of islands college.

End of term kiwi culture social studies.

What did I learn that increased you understanding of kiwi culture?

I've researched about the different types of the kiwi culture, and different views on how different people see kiwi culture and it has increased my understanding of kiwi culture.

What was the most exciting part of kiwi culture?

Learning more about kiwi icons and what the proper meaning of "icons" are. I found out a lot like that  whit taker's chocolate was a kiwi icon.

How has this helped you to appreciate other culture. identity and heritage?

From how different they are and different views on how different people take it. Identity is like how different people are in other countries.
